Most FTP clients (programs) use similar terminology to describe required settings.
In order to configure your FTP client, you will need the following settings:
Host Name or "Host": Your Domain Name or IP address, for
example abc.com or 192.168.0.1 (if your name is not registered or if you are
transferring your Domain to ProNIC Solutions, you may need to use the IP ADDRESS
until the name is propagated throughout the different Domain Name Servers available
on the Internet.) You may also use ftp.yourdomain.com or even the name of your
server. For example, if your account is hosted on server12 you may use server12.pronicsolutions.com.
If you are a reseller, then you will need to use internet-hosting-services.com
instead of pronicsolutions.com.
Host Type: Automatic Detect
User ID or "Username": Enter your username. This can be the username
we sent you when you signed up, or it can be the username of any FTP user you
created in your control panel. (Remember that usernames are case-sensitive!)
Password: Enter the password for the user. (The password is case-sensitive!). Check the "save password" box if you don't want to have to keep entering your password every time.
Default Remote Directory: This should be set to "/public_html" (without the quotes).
